Dr. Izzie Rosenblatt, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Izzie Rosenblatt, DVM joined SPEC in July 2024 and is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care.

Dr. Henry Ascencio is originally from Los Angeles, California. He completed his undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley and earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis. He then pursued an internship at Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center before joining SPEC.

Dr. Kristin Trott

Medical Director

Dr. Kristin Trott wanted to be a veterinarian from a very young age due to her keen interest in science and animals. Originally from the north Bay Area, Dr. Trott worked as a veterinary technician for a few years leading up to veterinary school.

Dr. Kathy LeBert

Veterinarian

Dr. Kathy LeBert is originally from Taiwan and moved to Southern California as a nine-year-old.

Dr. Brenda Scholtens

Veterinarian

Dr. Brenda Scholtens is a staff veterinarian at SPEC.

Dr. Peter Ellis

Veterinarian

Dr. Ellis completed veterinary school at UC Davis and an internship at Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center.

Dr. Ryan Wheeler

Veterinarian

Dr. Wheeler is board certified in Emergency and Critical Care with over 15 years of experience. He has a special interest in trauma management, point-of-care ultrasound, sepsis, and post-operative critical care.
