My love and passion for animals started in childhood. Growing up in Solano County, I was surrounded by small animals, pocket pets, livestock, and horses, which inspired me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine to help both animals and their humans. With over 20 years of experience in both small and large animal hospitals, I began my journey as a Kennel Assistant and worked my way up through the field. Along the way, I discovered my passion for mentorship while serving as an Instructional Support Facilitator at UC Davis’ Veterinary Clinical Teaching Center, where I had the privilege of helping veterinary students grow. I chose SPEC because I wanted to give back to the community where I was raised and continue to live, while utilizing my knowledge of veterinary medicine and teaching to help clinical staff grow and thrive in the field. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, daughter, and our many animals—dogs, cats, horses, and goats.
